The University of Alabama is celebrating African-American Heritage Month in February with the theme “Creating History Every Day” to recognize the range and diversity of contributions African-Americans have made.

Events and programs are planned accross campus for African-American Heritage Month, including the Hip Hop Summit, concert and step performances, lectures, forums, readings, and film screenings.
